Satisfying the two elements of life - Need vs Greed - differ depending on the political, economic and cultural conditions that shape each person on this planet…how much are we living according to our ideals and what are the root causes of the choices we make?

With a week full of protests (anti-American & Occupy) and the promotion of material consumption (London Fashion Week) it’s impossible not to question these issues in life.

In the run up to London Fashion Week, Sarah Corbett from the Craftivists Collective is putting up her mini protest banners stitched by her very own hands and encouraging others to do the same. In exposing the inequalities of the fashion industry, Sarah hopes there will be change that will end up as beautiful as the clothes themselves.

I’ve just spent 3 days in Batumi, an upcoming sea resort by the black sea in Georgia.
Witnessing the transitional stages of a city destined to resemble Dubai in 20 years time was truly fascinating. The mix of half-built neon lit buildings and the slums may steer the average tourist away, but the buzz of locals working from the early hours of the morning adds to the unique sense of energy here.
